    Grounds Maintenance Operations Manager
    Work Experience commercial grounds maintenance

    We are recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance OperationsManager on behalf of a growing Grounds Maintenance Service Provider withexperience of operationally managing a grounds maintenance service within thelocal authority, social housing, commercial and industrial sectors.

    On offer is a salary of between £40,000 and£45,000 a year plus bonus, company vehicle, laptop, mobile etc., This job offers a mix of home office andoffice based working.

    Responsiblefor ensuring all grounds maintenance projects are completed on time, tobudget, match contractual specifications, meet with both their financialand quality requirements, and are completed to the Clients satisfactionand in line with priced expectations.

    Offeringbest in sector customer service, ensuring all projects are deliveredprofessionally and any remedial works are undertaken quickly and to the customerssatisfaction.

    Ensuringthe financial integrity and resource scheduling of all projects byeffective resource scheduling and appropriate procurement of goods andservices for projects.

    Supportingthe senior management and sales teams during pre-tender meetings andthroughout the tender process which could include client facing meetings.

    Lookingat areas within projects that give scope for margin enhancement.
    Completingsite specific risk assessments as well as planning health and safety forall projects.
    Ensuringthe companies quality standards are maintained and that H&S policiesand procedures are adhered to on site.
    Responsiblefor pre-mobilisation site inspections and surveys including riskassessments and site-specific instructions.
    Managingequipment, machinery and vehicle allocation including servicing andrepairs.

    Promotingthe wider range of related services the company can offer to help growadditional revenue streams and proactively look for opportunities to quotefor additional works.

    Asneeded (to cover sickness and staff holidays) be happy to drop back ontothe tools.
    To be considered as theGrounds Maintenance Operations Manager you will need:

    CommercialGrounds Maintenance experience across a variety of customers (schools,hospitals, business parks, housing associations etc.,)
    Asound horticultural knowledge and a keen interest in learning new ways ofworking.

    Aconfident but flexible approach with a proactive attitude, the ability to copeunder pressure and to be keen and enthusiastic to learn if you are looking totake that next step up to being a Manager.

    Theability to develop a hard-working, detail orientated team of maintenance professionalswho will deliver a high quality maintenance service.
    Commercialawareness, an understanding of budgets, P&L and new business development.
    Supervisoryor Management experience.

    Aconfident but flexible approach with a proactive attitude, the ability to copeunder pressure and to be keen and enthusiastic to learn if you are looking totake that next step up to being a Manager.
