Blackfield Associates are currently supporting a growing and bespoke management consultancy, working across the healthcare and life sciences markets, coming health expertise with innovative approaches from their work.
They launched their HEOR & Market Access group in 2020, providing analytical and research services for organisations across the life sciences and healthcare industries.
They bring together clinicians, statisticians, epidemiologists, health economists, bioinformaticians and health data scientists alongside our established actuarial, analytics and technology teams to deliver new solutions to the fundamental challenges in health.
The team's mission is to help move health systems from importers of illness to exporters of health and to support clients to deliver value to patients.
We have already developed a track record for leading approaches to market access strategy, real world evidence generation and health economic modelling.
Examples of the types of projects that you will be working on include:Real world evidence and pharmacoepidemiology studies using electronic healthcare records, registries, biobanks and databasesDeveloping cutting edge methods to help address the evidence needs of healthcare stakeholders including payers and health authoritiesReal world evidence strategyInnovative approaches to identifying and quantifying unmet needTHE ROLEDeliver excellent client service in existing service areas by;Leading on the delivery of client projects including being the primary contact for client management and accountable for efficient project deliveryManaging project teams including coordination of study design and protocol development where appropriate.
We expect most projects would be for clients in the pharmaceutical sectors Being a Subject Matter Expert on projects and engagements across the breadth of the HEOR team and the client's wider servicesDriving the business forward with new service offerings and prospect development by;Leading on developing proposals and progressing client opportunities Coordinating delivery of proposals with support from HEOR leadership colleagues and BD teamGenerating new opportunities through early engagement with prospects A particular focus for this role would be upselling and cross-selling on existing clients/prospects through projects you leadLeveraging existing and developing new contacts across the life science sectorSupporting growing the existing analytics offering into new markets and extending the capabilities of the current HEOR offering according to your expertise and track recordContributing to ongoing work in developing the clients HEOR sector presence through thought leadershipIn addition to the above, you will;Be a member of the HEOR Leadership team and actively contribute to the development of the teamLine manage team members Support the Real World Evidence Generation service area lead in the training and development of the teamWhat experience, skills and qualities do you need?Significant, demonstrable experience in the healthcare, life sciences or consulting industries, with a track record of leading teams in delivering innovative work in a fast-paced environmentA 2:1 degree or better in a numerate or science subject, with a relevant PhD degree (e.g.Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Data Science) being desirableExcellent grounding in real world evidence with a desire to apply quantitative skills and rigorous science to solving real-world problems in healthDemonstrable track record in prospecting and successful business development A commitment to providing excellent service to our clients, and experienced in leading consulting engagementsComfortable leading on day-to-day project activities as part of a small, dynamic and growing team, managing workloads of junior team members effectivelyInitiative and creativityExcellent communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to present complex issues to others in a way which is easy to understandFamiliarity with real world health data sourcesExperience of programming (R.Python) is desirableExcellent organisational skillsIf this opportunity is of interest and you're keen to find out more, please reach out via direct message to Francesca Martin-Turner or apply through the link.
