    Description
    Robertson Bell are supporting a public sector organisation, based in the City of London, to recruit a Finance Assistant on a long-term two-year contract as they embark on a programme of change, including the procurement and implementation of a new ERP system which will catalyse further changes to ways of working post-implementation.

    This is a hybrid role offering a generous benefits package, notably holiday entitlement and pension contribution, and three days of home-working per week.

    As Finance Assistant you will be responsible for;
    • Ensuring financial transactions are processed efficiently, with a particular focus on Accounts Payable, although this role will also get in involved with Accounts Receivable.
    • Maintaining the accuracy of financial information across systems and accounts at month end through robust reconciliations.
    • Reviewing the application of VAT codes to financial transactions to ensure accuracy.
    • Supporting the year end audit through the provision of transactional finance information to internal stakeholders and auditors.
    • Supporting senior management by contributing to financial reports and analysis.
    • Ensuring expense claims are compliant with organisational policies and processing these.
      You will need:
      • Strong transactional finance experience, ideally spanning Accounts Payable and Receivable.
      • A keen eye for detail and ability to reconcile a range of financial information.
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
      • A high level of IT literacy, in particular Microsoft packages and ERP systems.
