    AK Director of RatingLondon, UK - £100,000 - £140,000 per annum, plus 10% Bonus on billing & Benefits (D.O.E.)

    The Client:

    Our client, one of the UK's leading professional services organisations, is looking to appoint a Director of Rating to its' London office.

    The RoleThe focus is towards both Landlord and Occupier instructions relating to the Check Challenge Appeal process for the 2023 revaluation.

    The role will involve working closely with the National Head of Business Rates to build out the London team with focus on both immediate 2023 List instructions and business generation in relation to 2026 Revaluation.

    This role will be highly centred on strategic business development as well as service delivery on a number of complex business rates cases.

    Duties & ResponsibilitiesTargeting both Landlord and Occupier work, looking to assist and advise on the Check Challenge and Appeal process Offer advice on empty rates mitigation strategy Be responsible for helping to grow and manage a London Rating Team Be responsible for an individual rating case load Keep abreast of the latest changes to government rating legislation and business rates case law to ensure that you are able to keep colleagues and clients updated with the latest advice.

    Be able to confidently apply case law in a manner to assist negotiations and inform client advice. Pre-RequisitesBe an exceptional business generator and negotiator, and positively implement business strategy.

    Experience of attending Valuation Tribunal and dealing with external barristers to advise on key cases moving to Upper Chamber and beyond.

    A senior Rating professional with MRICS/ IRRV qualified status and be at least 5 years post qualified. Line management experience.
    Knowledge of the London and South-East Rating market. The ability to fully utilise Riverlake and Analyse software packages is highly desirable.
