- Minimum of GCSE Pass/Grade C or equivalent

Main duties of the job
The postholder is responsible for tracking patients and providing up-to-date information as they progress through the cancer care pathway, liaising closely with services such as Radiology, Pathology and Oncology to ensure patients receive their treatments in a timely period and to meet National Cancer Waiting Times Standards. They are responsible for co-ordinating the administration of MDT meetings, they must be highly organised and pay close attention to detail as the post requires a significant level of responsibility, The postholder will need to be able to both work in conjunction with clinical teams and on their own initiative. Live typing into our patient record system is a key function of this role.
The postholder will be required to develop and maintain a good working relationship with all staff and liaise closely with clinicians, nursing staff, and patient administration staff at all levels throughout the Trust. The postholder must have excellent communication skills, be organised, and pay close attention to detail.

The post-holder will be responsible for the provision of a full and effective administrative and clerical support service to an MDT. He/she will also be responsible for inputting data onto the cancer database [PPM] database system and producing reports as required.
