We are looking for an experienced IT & Systems Director with aproven track record of building, managing and leading IT systems tojoin The National College team, you will play a crucial role inproviding services both for internal teams and educators on thelearning platform.

As IT & Systems Director you will beresponsible for internal IT, Systems and Data including leading ITsupport, implementation of systems across teams, support for dataintegrity and compliance, security, and operating external facingplatforms such as the cloud hosted products and platforms.

Requirements

• Demonstrableexperience leading internal systems, IT processes and security, dataprivacy and IT operations
• A passion for technology, IT andensuring high quality and reliable solutions that delight users andstakeholders
• Experience building IT roadmaps and strategiesthat improve capabilities and information security
• Strongtechnical skills including IT infrastructure, networking and security,with experience in both Microsoft Azure for IT and Amazon Web Services
• Expertise at enabling company wide data processes, includingthe correct handling of customer data following GDPR regulations andbest practices
• Previous experience with common internaltechnology platforms such as HubSpot, SalesForce, Financial Force is aplus
• Previous background with data engineering such asreporting, analytics and data warehousing
• Experienceensuring cloud best practices and operational efficiency of clouddeployed products
• Experience setting and maintain ITbusiness processes across the business and managing IT budgetsincluding subscriptions and capex spend
• Experience both withinternal IT and cloud platform operations
• Relevantcertifications such as ITIL, CompTIA, or specific domaincertifications from appropriate providers
• At least 5 yearsexperience in an IT leadership role, ideally growing from a small team
• Flexible and able to work in a highly collaborativefast-paced culture
• A great written and verbal communicatorthat can work across cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders atall levels

• Strategic Planning :Build and implement a roadmap for IT that supports the overalltechnology and business strategy and action continuous improvement ofIT
• Internal Infrastructure Management: Manage with the support of the IT Manager all aspects of internal ITincluding hardware, infrastructure and user support
• Internal Systems Management : installation,management and maintenance of internal systems, including ERP, HR, CRMfor go to market teams
• Acquisition IT Integration : Integration of acquired businesses from an ITinfrastructure perspective
• Product InfrastructureManagement: Ensure well architected and resilient solutionsfor external products and robust backup and recovery approachesalongside development and product teams
• CyberSecurity: Implement information security tools and processesto ensure the security of company data, systems and networks, and ownthe security stance of the company in terms of both ensuringcompliance with regulations and helping sales teams with highlightingour credentials in this sphere to support sales efforts
• Data Compliance: Own data protection controls acrossall teams for both internal users and customer data, including GDPRcompliance, DPIA responses, and other relevant global data protectioncompliances
• Data Engineering: Responsibility for the operation, security and availabilityof data pipelines and data warehouse alongside the data engineer andbusiness intelligence team
• Budget Management: Plan and forecast both recurring and one-off costs for IToperational and capex investments, and needed resources to implementthe agreed strategic plans
• Project Management: Lead IT transformation and company integration projects frominception to completion
• IT Processes: Create, own and test BCP, DRP, AUP, IT Certification andother relevant processes
• Leadership :Lead and mentor members of the IT and systems team, including trainingand management, whilst communicating effectively with otherstakeholders within the business
• IT Innovation : provide capacity and input to enable both personal and teaminnovation, staying up to date on emerging technologies and bestpractices
