Description
Demonstrate leadership, commitment and drive in the implementation of the overall MMA and TSA contract responsibilities ensuring a positive, co-operative and dedicated contribution within all functions for the success of the Maintenance contracts.
Lead and supervise the production team, providing contractual levels of performance including but not limited to; Supervision of production personnel, visitors and sub-contractorsCarry out maintenance activities, allocate work to support the maintenance plan: planned, corrective, overhaul and extra work
Preparation and installation of modifications to trains in compliance with guidelines and statutory provisions
Traincare Operatives and VMI, Operations, Electrical, Mechanical, Traincare, and Assistant Technicians
Attend performance meetings, internal and external, to ensure correct representation from Stadler
Competence in manual point switching, panel operation, blocking and depot isolation procedures, shunting, overhead crane operation and slinging, use of the component drop, FLT operation and cleaning of assets and components
Support the business ensuring trains are provided as and when required, meeting all criteria for product and people safety, reliability, train presentation in line with environmental legislation.
Data input and analysis into electronic management systems utilised by Stadler Rail Service UKEnsure all documentation associated with fleet maintenance activities are completed accurately: paper and computer based
Support with the development and implementation of standards and procedures
Tools, equipment, facilities and assets interface, ensuring issues are reported and corrected through regular checks, audits and inspections
Initiate and where authorised implement action to prevent the occurrence of product non-conformities (non-compliance), rail safety and compliance, QHSE incidents, process or system deficiencies.
Responsible for adhering to safety/quality systems and support the implementation by supporting appropriate inspections/checks as required or directed to ensure a safe and reliable productAssist with the annual identification of risks to complete Risk Assessments and the risk register
Qualification or equivalent experience in a Rail and Depot environment
Electrical, network / software and mechanical time served or equivalent qualification with suitable shop floor experience
ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management
Can demonstrate a customer driven attitude focused on quality
Flexible and willing to support colleagues with good inter-personal and communication skills
Demonstrate a passion for continual improvement, operational excellence and end user experience
Good level of ICT skill including Microsoft packages
Must have or be willing to become a statutory first aid at work person, fire marshal / fire warden
Competency must be demonstrated in Personal Track Safety (PTS) and Rolling Stock maintenance standards
Medically fit and subject to drugs and alcohol testing both random and "for cause"
Full UK Driving License
May be required to work on a temporary basis at other Stadler or customer locations
Proven extensive experience in an operational transport and production environment with knowledge of Rolling Stock units
Strong knowledge, experience and understanding of risk and safety in the workplace, within a transport environment and from a production perspective
Proven experience of identifying, assessing and mitigating all manner of risks and documenting risk registers to demonstrate compliance and become the basis of safe systems of work
20% shift allowance payable when working a permanent shift rota, including nights
Standby/On Call allowance of £50 per day, payable to days required for Standby/On Call
