    Senior HR Business Partner - London, United Kingdom - Pantheon

    Purpose of Position

    The Senior HR Business Partner position is responsible for the delivery of a full range of Human Resource services across the EMEA region. The role will often be the first point of contact for middle-senior managers and employees throughout the Firm, providing commercial HR guidance and support on a full scope of employment topics supporting the business as it grows to meet its operational and longer-term strategic objectives. The role reports directly to the HR, Vice President, EMEA but is part of a broader global HR team of 10.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Partnering

    • Builds and maintains strong internal relationships and acts as a trusted advisor to managers providing operational and commercially driven HR support.
    • Partners with key areas such as Compliance, Legal, Risk, IT and Finance etc in order to deliver a comprehensive, smooth and effective HR service which is compliant with relevant legislation, managing risk appropriately.
    • Shows credibility through demonstration of HR knowledge and understanding of the business, what we do, how we do it and the operational and strategic priorities being worked too

    Recruitment/Onboarding/Talent Planning

    • Support Recruitment through external and internal benchmarking of roles and provide support and guidance on immigration matters.
    • Liaise with new joiners and develop and oversee the corporate onboarding process ensuring alignment with business processes.
    • Oversee the onboarding process and ensure managers are providing an effective and impactful onboarding experience setting new starters up for success
    • Ensure probation periods are effectively managed, providing early intervention where appropriate.
    • Support internal mobility (both local and international) through effective HR commercial support

    Employee Relations

    • Effectively manage a range of ER cases, including the more complex cases and ensure that all activity relating to ER is consistent with the Firm's approach and in line with legislation.
    • Influence and challenge managers to role model organisation values and behavioural expectations.
    • Train and coach managers to manage performance on an ongoing basis and to have honest and meaningful performance conversations utilising developed tools (such as Career Pathways).

    HR Operations

    • Keep HRIS Systems up to date and provide analysis to streamline systems and processes. Support any HRIS key projects.
    • Adapt processes and reports to match critical business needs.
    • Leverage systems and initiatives to contribute and constantly improve HR analytics data.
    • Contribute to the review and management of HR policies and processes, ensuring they are forward thinking, and reflect Pantheon's Inclusive and Diverse culture.

    Performance & Reward

    • Manage the performance development review (PDR) process ensuring a 'Managing by Objective's' culture is embedded.
    • Provide coaching and training to managers on handling performance conversations.
    • Support external benchmarking (via agencies and consultants) and compare against internal practices., using analysis to reach market data led, commercial decisions.
    • Consult with managers and team heads to support and effectively manage the annual Reward and Compensation and Promotion review process.

    Learning & Development

    • Support and challenge managers to understand learning needs and career aspirations of their employees, using developed Career Pathways and knowledge of training available to meet business needs.

    Projects

    • Taking ownership for individual projects whilst contributing effectively to broader HR projects and initiatives. Project examples include:
    • Firmwide Career Pathways
    • Gender Pay Gap Reporting
    • Benefit reviews and improvements including benchmarking to market
    • Employee Retention Initiatives
    • CSR programmes

    Knowledge and Experience Required

    • Experienced HR Business Partner and Generalist.
    • Experience in employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Resilient, confident, and hardworking individual.
    • Team player but also proactive with independent tasks.
    • Ideally experience in a FCA regulated environment.
    • Ideally CIPD Level 5 or 7.
