About the team
You will be joining the Business Management team of Worldpay's Merchant Engineering arm, who are responsible for managing several key aspects of the operational effectiveness of the Engineering organisation (circa 3500 headcount globally). Such aspects include; supporting projects for improving operational effectiveness, managing engagement with Procurement, for all matters relating to global staffing of third party resources and non-staff spend, working closely with our Finance Business partners to ensure our operational costs (staff and non-staff) remain in plan and flex as needed, to meet shifting business requirements.
What you will be doing
You will be responsible for a combination of discreet project work and BAU operational processes, in support of the broader Engineering organisation, playing a crucial role in facilitating Engineering's ability to deliver on its target priorities. Project work will include designing and implementing internal process improvements, such as managing Engineering led demand and project in-take, infrastructure cost management, internal hiring initiatives, people data custodian management and purchased asset request coordination. BAU support responsibilities will include overseeing staff hiring, staff onboarding, purchase requisitions and key data custodian accountability. Further, you will be expected to be proactive and self-managing, as we respond to the shifting needs of the business, as Worldpay continues its journey of separation in partnership with FIS, which will require our team to lean into senior leadership facing support responsibilities, in service of helping structure the business as an independent entity.
