    Description
    We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sports Social Media Engagement Specialist to join the team at OLBG.

    As the Sports Social Media Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for all community management across multiple platforms and ultimately for driving both engagement and growth across our social communities.

    You will devise and execute strategies to drive engagement, increase brand awareness, and increase community interaction among our target audience.

    This role requires a social expert who is adept at engaging social media community management, with a deep understanding of both sports (particularly football and horse racing).

    This role will require regular weekend and evening work.

    OLBG are focused on helping sports bettors to improve their enjoyment of betting through learning from each other. At OLBG we believe that the experts in sports betting are the bettors themselves.

    Growing a community of knowledgeable sports bettors

    Making it easy to access and use the valuable content that our community and sponsored athletes/teams/ambassadors create

    OLBG currently have 100,000+ followers in the UK across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn, and thousands of members of the site.

    To support our growth to expand the brand and continue to offer and amplify our best-in-class content, we need more brilliant people to join our team.

    Develop and implement social media strategies to increase OLBG's engagement and reach across all social media platforms and ultimately drive growth.

    Oversee the day-to-day community management on all social media channels, actively monitoring all social media channels to respond promptly to comments, messages, and mentions from followers, fostering meaningful interactions, and building relationships.

    Identify and execute on opportunities in the sporting social media landscape to drive engagement, reach, and growth for the OLBG brand.

    Cultivate a positive and inclusive online community around OLBG on Social Media platforms, encouraging user-generated content and user participation in discussions and activities.

    Stay up-to-date with the latest social media tools, trends, and best practices, and integrate them into our social media strategy.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, content, and design, to ensure alignment and consistency across all channels.

    Proven experience as a Social Media Engagement Specialist or similar role, with a track record of successful social media campaigns and initiatives, growing both engagement and follower numbers, across all major social media platforms.

    Proven passion for and deep understanding of both football and horse racing, alongside a broad knowledge of other sports.

    Knowledge of both sports betting and the regulations around promoting gambling content across social platforms.
    Strong understanding of social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices for each platform.
    Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and scheduling software.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling and engaging written content.
    Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decisions and optimise performance.
    Passion for staying ahead of social media trends and innovations, with a continuous learning mindset.
    Flexibility for both weekend and evening work as required.
