    BOH Assistant

    This is a full time, permanent position working 5 out of 6 days a week (Monday - Saturday). The position is on-site in St. James' and the working hours are 9-5pm (35 hours a week). The salary for this position is £23-25k dependent on experience.

    The BOH Assistant reports directly into the Stock Manager and BOH Supervisor. The BOH Assistant must support the Stock Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the stockroom, whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service at all times.

    Main Responsibilities - Stock

    • Support the Stock Manager to book in all deliveries and log them on the stock computer ensuring accuracy at all times.
    • Replenish stock on a daily basis.
    • Inform the Stock Manager of any stock shortages, potential shortages or any items that are selling more quickly than normal.
    • Ensure the basement store room, kiln, goods in/out areas, ladies stockroom and Crown Passage are tidy, well organised, and compliant with Health and Safety laws.
    • Ensure that all stock is kept in 'best condition' and liaise with the Senior Buyer and Stock Manager if stock is sent in without being in this condition.
    • Check for mould, moth and damp on a periodic basis, and deal with any abnormalities.
    • Support the Stock Manager to plan and execute an annual stock take.
    • Alongside the Stock Manager, process rolling monthly stock takes to ensure the accuracy of Stocky.
    • Undertake any other reasonable duties which you may be asked to carry out by the Stock Manager

    Main Responsibilities – Dispatch

    • Ensure all orders are packed and presented to the highest standards, to ensure that they reach the customers in the best possible condition.
    • Working in a tidy and efficient manner, to ensure that orders are complete and dispatched with the correct documentation.
    • Generating dispatch paperwork from the computerised courier system.
    • A flexible approach to the job is essential as priorities within the department may change.
    • Processing refunds and exchanges in a timely manner.
    • It is essential in all areas of the job that you provide the highest levels of customer service.
    • To assist the shop floor as and when necessary.
