- Responsible for the development, delivery, maintenance or monitoring of Network Security policies, standards, and best practices
- Responsible for every aspect of data safety in the network ensuring there are minimal risk to the organisation by adopting and integrating the right technology
- Implements risk management procedures, performs security threat assessments, manages user identities and access, and oversees compliance
- Work in partnership with the wider organisation such as security architect and technology to design and implement network security blueprint
- Build blueprints, models and strategies to strengthen the security of network
- Supports network security assessments and risk analysis, and makes recommendations to improve network security
- Leads complex initiatives and projects
- Applies technical capabilities within own discipline to coach and develop junior employees
- Provides input into performance appraisal process for some junior employees or team members
- Liaises with business leaders to proactively identify the security impact of implementations across the organization
- Analyses security reporting and daily logs, seeking trends and identifying and implementing opportunities to improve systems, processes or protocols
- Establishes security procedures for products, applications, and platforms, and acts as a go-to technical resource for risky or unusual security or compliance matters
- Ensures periodic testing of the organisation's network and systems from a security point of view
- Oversees the maintenance of firewalls, VPNs, VLAN and so on
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience initiating and managing improvement in areas of security by leveraging process metrics.
- Strong understanding of the payments industry regulatory landscape and compliance requirements.
- Ability to articulate themselves clearly and concisely to a broad range of senior and junior stakeholders, acting as a bridge as well as guide for the implementation of new capabilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
