- Performing the Safety analyses he/she is in charge of, as per the applicable Safety instructions/processes and other specific requirements committed to the Customer.
- Addressing Customer/Independent parties (ISA, NoBo, Debo,...) comments to get its approval on the Safety deliverables within the limits of Alstom Transport commitments.
- Contributing to the assessment of the Safety performance of the product and to the upstream identification of the necessary safety requirements to ensure the achievement of the Safety targets.
- Applying the Alstom Transport/Engineering rules & processes to his / her activities in particular those dedicated to Safety activities.
- Having a pro-active challenging view on the Safety data/results he/she handles to enhance the adequacy/consistency of the Safety studies and requirements.
- Seeking for the technical understanding of the Alstom Transport products in order to better assess their safety performance and potential areas of improvement.
- Adopting a product oriented mindset in performing his/her studies to foster the capitalization of the results of the studies towards the product Safety performance.
- Railway Safety analysis and demonstration methods and tools.
- Electrical and/or Electro-mechanical Engineering

Could you be the full-time Safety Engineer in Derby we're looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your product safety expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll report to Scott Condie ( Head of Vehicle Safety and Perf. AVENTRA, Derby) and work alongside passionate and dedicated teammates.
You'll be performing Railway/Product Safety activities and related deliverables in accordance with QCD commitments on Derby based projects/programs. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business to support the Alstom Transport products performance by ensuring Safety requirements are identified upstream reflecting Alstom Safety policy and much more.
