    Procurement Manager

    Location:
    Cumbria/ Preston/ Hybrid
    Permanent

    Delkia is a specialist Systems Integrator (SI) operating throughout the UK and Internationally for safety-related and mission-critical systems in highly regulated sectors, including Aerospace, Maritime, Defence and Clean Energy.

    We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team at Delkia.

    The Procurement Manager will be key in supporting the business's requirements through the procurement of materials, equipment and services.

    You will act as the point of contact for key supplier relationships, manage price negotiation, assess supplier performance, new framework agreements, contracts, and dynamic purchasing.

    You will keep procurement systems and records up to date, monitor procurements to ensure they are delivered to agreed timescales, help define procurement best practice, oversee compliance and procurement transparency in line with public procurement regulations and manage all documentation and records.

    Conduct thorough assessments of potential and existing suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term business partnerships and mutual benefits.

    Procurement process management:
    Oversee the entire procurement process, including tendering, negotiations, contract management, and order fulfilment.
    Implement strategies for cost reduction and efficiency improvement in the supply chain.

    Risk management:
    Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain.
    Lead and develop the procurement team, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance.
    Ensure accurate and timely reporting and maintain comprehensive records of procurement activities
    Process Owner for procurement; Ownership, develop and mature all procurement processes.
    Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or related field preferable.

    Professional Certification:
    CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) registration is essential – minimum CIPS level 5 qualified.
    Experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in an SME environment and Nuclear/Maritime experience would be advantageous.
    Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
