    At Flock we do insurance very differently.

    Our real-time, data-driven approach means we're able to price connected vehicle insurance on a per-second basis, whilst giving fleet owners the insights they need to improve safety. We don't just pay claims; we help our customers prevent them. We now insure thousands of vehicles with connected insurance including fleets from Jaguar Land Rover, elmo and Virtuo.

    We've recently completed our Series B funding of $38m, led by Octopus Ventures. Our goal is to become the leading insurance company for connected and autonomous vehicles, and we're building a world-class team to help us get there.

    The role

    We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finance team to oversee our accounting team, managing the day to day work of credit control, payables and reconciliation. Responsibility for the month close and the production of monthly management accounts, working closely with the FP&A function to do so.

    • Guiding and coaching a small team allowing them to grow and develop over the long term.
    A little more on what you'll be doing
    • Managing all BAU processes, customer invoicing, reconciliation and debtor settlement, customer and broker queries at the lead of a small team.
    • Performing the Month End Close, Booking Journals and creating auditable ledgers.
    • Controlling Accounts Payable
    • Guiding and Assisting with Credit Control.
    • FCA reporting.
    • Assisting the Head of Finance in finance transformation, implementing the best tools and processes across all parts of the business.
    • Working with the Head of FP&A to improve management Accounts.
    • Business Partnering with underwriting, revenue and customer ops to align Finance processes.
    What you'll bring to Flock
    • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), three years post qualified experience with a strong background in the Insurance/Financial Services sector.
    • Strong experience with accounts receivable functions.
    • Outstanding Excel skills and an aptitude with numbers.
    • Confident communication and presentation skills.
    • Accuracy, attention to detail, diligence and a structured approach
    • The ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise own work
