    Description

    This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the overall global commodity strategy for Mechanical parts and Raw material across GE Power Conversion representing a spend of $125M+.This role will require coordination with the P&L Sourcing teams to ensure a cohesive global strategy, coordinating sourcing efforts and policy, and executing initiatives.

    Partnerships with GE functional stakeholders in Business and Segment Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive business outcomes in the priorities of Safety/Compliance/Diversity/Sustainability, Quality, Delivery and Cost and enable the team to deliver excellent service levels to the organization.


    English :

    Partner with all GE Power Conversion sites and lead the development & execution of global sourcing strategies for the Mechanical Parts & Raw Material Commodity.

    Drive the supplier diversity and sustainability priorities aligned with global strategy, by aiming risk mitigation and competitiveness.

    Be responsible for delivering improvements to key sourcing metrics to include Quality Performance (NCRs & CoF reduction), Fulfillment (OTD & Lead Time), and Cost (Deflation, Product Cost Out, Cash/Net Pay Terms).

    buy strategies to optimize Quality, Fulfillment and Total Landed Cost for the commodity.

    Drive Sourcing initiatives including growing shared supplier spend, best cost country (BCC), productivity, rationalization of supply base, sole source reduction, cycle reduction, on time delivery and quality improvements, lean & pull production, and cash flow improvement.

    Understand business compliance requirements and drive opportunities to eliminate compliance risk as well as driving initiatives to remediate concerns.

    Bachelor's degree

    Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Operations, or related; MBA or Master's preferred.
    Strong experience within the Mechanical Parts / Raw Materials Commodity Management.
    Demonstrated business orientation and Inspirational leadership with collaborative mindset in working across multiple business units and cultures.
    Proven track record in leading a commodity to a new level of performance.
    Strong project management skills.
    Ability and willingness to travel as required.
