    Job Description Governance Officer | London
    £45,000 | Permanent | Full-time

    Join Greensleeves Care as a Governance Officer in Central London

    Greensleeves Care is an innovative, award-winning and growing, social care charity responding to the changing needs of older people.

    Be a point of contact with Greensleeves Care's legal firm on governance issues

    To ensure there is a strong governance framework in place to ensure Greensleeves Care complies with all legal, statutory and regulatory standards and operates with openness, integrity and accountability.

    With the Chief Executive and Director of HR and Company Secretariat, be responsible for managing any changes needed to Greensleeves Care's governing documents, taking legal advice as required.

    To ensure all governance and compliance policies are kept under regular review, updated as required and communicated effectively.
    To establish and regularly review governance policies and procedures to ensure strong decision making across the Trust.
    Lead on the implementation of the Register of Interests and governance of conflicts of interest through Greensleeves Care's Declaration of Interest policy and procedure

    Work-Life Balance:
    Knowledge of charity law or understanding of charity governance
    Significant experience in a similar role in a committee-based governance structure
    Awareness of the function of HR and recruitment in relation to good governance and compliance with no experience as full training is provided
    Ability to draft policies and procedures
    Excellent skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
