      The International Music and Performing Arts Charitable Trust (IMPACT) Scotland is the charity responsible for theconstruction and operation of Dunard Centre, a new all-purpose performance venue in Edinburgh's St AndrewSquare.

      We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled person to join the Dunard Centre team as our first Head ofMarketing & Communications.

      This is an exceptional opportunity to help shape the brand of the Dunard Centre in its pre-opening phase andcommunicate our vision to the public and a wide range of stakeholders at local and national level.

      As a new organisation, we are in the process of building a permanent staffing structure. We're keen to hear frompeople with the desire to make a real difference to the trajectory of the Dunard Centre as we grow anddevelop.

      Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) is the National Development Body for Scotland's museums and galleries. We support asector of 449 museums and galleries, through strategic investment, workforce development, advice and advocacy.We are a forward facing and inclusive organisation, committed to the ongoing development of a positive culturefor our team.

      We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our work to clearly communicate the positive value and impact ofthe museums and galleries sector. You will do this by developing and leading advocacy campaigns and activitythat make a strong case for Scotland's museums and galleries sector to influence a range of audiences andstakeholders including Government Officials, Government Ministers, MSPs, relevant Committees, relevant fundersand other key organisations and influencers.

      Politically astute, the Senior Advocacy and Public Affairs Manager possesses strong communication and influencingskills, using information, research and data to build a political and public case for the sector and informevidence-based advocacy messaging and activity.

      Being able to navigate and effectively communicate complex issues that implicate the wider culture and heritagesector in Scotland will be essential. This is especially vital as parts of our sector face profound budgetchallenges, many navigating rising operational costs and workforce pressures while also striving to adapt toensure relevance to communities and users. As national development body, MGS needs to advocate clearly andeffectively on their behalf.

      This role offers an enriching opportunity to be creative and proactive in developing our organisational voice tohighlight pressures on, and make a strong case for, Scotland's museums and galleries.

      We are recruiting a maternity cover Adult Engagement Manager - an integral role within our organisation that willsupport the development, delivery and direction of shmu's services for adults facing challenges across NorthEast Scotland.

We are looking for an exceptional, passionate individual to join our teamas Adult Engagement Manager for an initial fixed term of 12 months as maternity cover, with the potential for apermanent post following the one-year period.

      As our Adult Services Manager, you will work alongside the Chief Executive to manage, develop, and enhance servicesfor adults facing challenges, with a key focus on mental health & wellbeing, community justice, trauma, anddisadvantage.

      As well as line-management responsibility for the Adult Services staff team, you will design, create and implementnew programmes across the strand which are managed and delivered to the highest standards. You will also beresponsible for the creation and maintenance of key partner relationships for our Adult Services provision.

      You will ensure that all funding, reporting and evaluation requirements are delivered, and will work with theManagement Team in order to secure financial sustainability for the Adult Services strand through securing andmanaging a combination of grants, contracted provision and commissioned work.

      We are recruiting for a full-time post, but we may consider part time options if appropriate. This post is initiallya one-year maternity cover, however, our Adult Services strand is growing, and we would be keen to work with thepost-holder to explore a sustainable funding model for the strand, including the continuation of the maternitycover post beyond the fixed term period.

      How you'll help to create a fairer Scotland for young women and girls:

      Leadership and Governance

      • As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, contribute to the leadership and delivery of the Young Women'sMovement strategic and operational goals
      • Lead and inspire the Collective Voice & Action; Learningand Engagement and Business and Finance Team's workload and activities, including direct line management of theCollective Voice & Action Lead; Learning & Engagement Lead; Business & FinanceCoordinator
      • Work with the CEO, Treasurer and external accountant on the Management Accounts for thequarterly Finance Subcommittee; and contribute towards papers for the Quarterly Board meetings
      • Supportthe CEO with contributions to the overall organisation strategy and development
      • Within your areas ofresponsibility and supporting the wider organisation, ensure compliance with all related policies and procedurese.g. HMRC, Pensions Regulator, Companies House & OSCR
      • Provide additional management cover whennecessary

      Operational Management

      • Work with the CEO, Leads and young women to develop and expand our existing programmes and ensure we areconstantly innovating in programme and product development to meet the needs of the young women wesupport
      • Replicate and expand existing programmes across Scotland whilst also adopting a proactive andstrategic approach to developing new and innovative programmes
      • Develop excellent relationships with theYWM team and the young women we work with to drive positive outcomes and ensure our work is led by theexperiences, voices and needs of young women
      • Support the Leads with strategic planning for theCollective Voice & Action; Learning and Engagement and Business and Finance Team's team including thesetting and monitoring of objectives and targets
      • Oversee the monitoring and evaluation activity for theCollective Voice & Action; Learning and Engagement and Business and Finance Teams

      Finance

      • Work with the CEO to set, manage and monitor organisation and project budgets
      • Work with budget holdersto manage and monitor budget lines and authorised expenditure within delegated limits and YWM financial policiesand procedures
      • Work collaboratively with the CEO and Business and Finance Coordinator to ensure a strongsynergy between organisational planning and financial and resource sustainability
      • Lead on the annualproduction and audit of the organisation's statutory accounts, including preparation and completion of thestatutory accounts in accordance with charity and accounting standards, and submission of annual returns to theCharity Commission and Companies House
      • Oversight of the charity's investments; including providingregular and timely advice to the Board on investment management and delivery

      HR, Culture and People

      Overseeing HR strategies, HR compliance, and ensuring HR strategies that mean our team are supported, skilled, anddeveloped

      • Maintain and develop strong cross-team relationships within YWM
      • Using external experts as required,co-ordinate and interpret advice on any human resource issues arising
      • Support the Business & FinanceCoordinator to ensure the consistent delivery and quality of HR processes including staff recruitment, inductionand development, monthly payroll and pensions, annual objectives and professional development plans

      IT, Administration and Business

      • Oversee the YWM's information management, incorporating legal and regulatory requirements (GDPR), data security,and use of data and insight to deliver the objectives of the movement
      • Ensure implementation of YWM'sActivity and Organisational Health and Safety policies and processes in line with legislation
      • Generaloffice management oversight

      Other

      • Keep up to date with the latest developments in the charity, political and commercial sectors and identify keyopportunities for YWM
      • Undertake any other duties that occasionally arise

      Let's talk about you - you will already have or be working towards:

      • A good standard of education in relevant field OR demonstrable equivalent skills through continued professionaldevelopment
      • A track record of delivering organisational plans as part of a management team
      • Anunderstanding of the issues facing young women, especially those facing the greatest inequalities and at riskfrom systemic discrimination
      • Excellent relationship management skills and experience of line managementand professional development
      • Professional expertise to implement team strategy and a strong track recordof efficient and effective delivery of objectives
      • Previous experience of effectively setting, managingand monitoring budgets (annual budgets exceeding £500k preferable)
      • The ability to work independently andto deal with often complex and non-routine issues
      • Ability to think creatively and strategically, using asolution-focused approach
      • A flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to operate and prioritisewithin a constantly evolving environment where targets and deadlines may change
      • Commitment to owncontinuing professional development
      • Experience of working in women-only spaces with a focus on young women and girls
      • Experience of workingin a similar role in a charity or not-for-profit environment
      • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, CustomerRelationship Management System (CRM) and finance software - Xero desirable
      • Experience of managing an HRfunction - BreatheHR desirable
      • Experience in and understanding of good charitygovernance
      • Experience of participatory models of working with young women and/or youth workexperience
      • Knowledge and understanding of feminist themes within equity, diversity and inclusion and theroles a support function plays in this

      Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) is the National Development Body for Scotland's museums and galleries. We supportmuseums and galleries throughout Scotland , through strategic investment, workforce development, advice, andadvocacy.

      We are currently looking for a new Chair with substantial experience of charity governance and experience of workingwith the Scottish Government. The ideal candidate will act as a passionate advocate for Scotland's museums andgalleries and lead our Board in supporting MGS to effectively develop and champion Scotland's museums andgalleries sector. The role involves leading the Board in its responsibilities in setting the strategic directionof the organisation and ensuring it is financially and operationally robust. The Chair works closely with theCEO and supports her and MGS staff in applying its resources responsibly in pursuit of MGS' objectives.

      We would like to hear from candidates who have a track record of leadership, operating at board level in the public,or voluntary sectors. Candidates should have strong corporate governance experience, including charitygovernance, with an understanding of the Scottish political environment and experience engaging with government.Candidates should also have a commitment and appreciation of the importance of museums and galleries as integralinstitutions of Scotland's cultural sector.
