    Job Purpose and Background in summary

    This role sits on the global HR leadership team. It is about facilitating the effective running of the business. It oversees that People aspects which enable efficiency, excellence and financial health; from people strategy and planning to managing organization change programmes, HR operations to Reward mechanisms, people policies to workforce planning and people analytics and reporting. This role also provides escalation for complex people matters in the UK.

    About the Team

    CDP's global HR team supports the organization to deliver its strategy and mission by linking people management and development practices to long-term business goals and outcomes.

    HR business partners based in regional hubs work with leaders, brokering in services from global centres of expertise who provide data and thought-leadership, advice and services, own policies and strategy and deliver programmes. A global shared service center provides operational and systems support.

    Direct reports and main stakeholders (internal and external):

    HR data and analytics lead, change manager, director of reward, Talent Acquisition manager, UK& APAC, HR Leadership team, HR BPs, global TA team, CFO, Finance leadership team, MEL & Impact Strategy, employee forum, ELT, Legal team leadership.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Connects different aspects of people strategy to create and manage global people strategy and planning, including global HR workplan.
    • Creating global people policy development, in coordination with other global people leads and business partners, ELT and employee forums including Activate and Works council.
    • Manages escalations of employee relations and industrial relations cases in the UK.
    • Leads HR operations, HR analytics and reporting and reward.
    • Leads change management; including project managing large scale people change across global organization.
    • Oversees interactions with CDP's employee forum, ensuring they are engaged in setting CDP's people agenda.
    • Oversees the provision of people data and the management of HR metrics across the organization and to leadership and the HR function.
    • Coordination with Finance team to report on people costs in relation to budget setting and workforce planning. Coordinating approvals of headcount.
    • Oversees global wellbeing and workplace safety and internal communications budgets.

    You will have the following skills and experience:

    • Ability to connect different aspects of people function and wider organizational strategy
    • Knowledge of HR practice and employment regulations internationally, a professional qualification or equivalent experience would be beneficial.
    • Ability to collaborate with leaders and employee representatives to create and manage policies.
    • Significant demonstrable experience of delivering complex change management in international organizations and knowledge of best practice change management, change management qualification would be beneficial but is not essential
    • Ability to produce and present HR reports to leadership and deliver compelling visuals and narratives around people information to different audiences.
    • Knowledge of risk management, with experience of managing both
    • Ability to lead and develop individuals to act as a high performing team.
    • Experience of managing an employee forum within a global organization.

    This is a fixed term contract (10 Months) based at CDP's London office reporting to the Chief Finance Officer. Interested applicants must be eligible to work legally in the UK. We cannot sponsor for this role.

    Salary and benefits: £72,885 - £109,327 per annum, 30 days' holiday plus bank holidays, generous non-contributory pension provision, Employee Assistance Programme, life assurance, training and development, flexible working opportunities and other benefits.

    Final offer amount depends on multiple factors such as candidates experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data.
