    Join Our Inclusive Team at HSDC as the Director of People and Organisational Development

    About the role

    Are you a strategic leader passionate about enabling inclusive, high-performing environments? Do you excel at driving organisational success through innovative HR practices and development initiatives? As the Director of People and Organisational Development, you will be part of our strategic leadership team, driving the alignment of our people strategies with our institutional goals. You will oversee HR, organisational development, payroll, and equity and inclusion functions, ensuring that we attract, retain, and develop top talent. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact on our college's culture and effectiveness.

    Contract type: Permanent

    Hours: 37 hours / 52 weeks

    You will be responsible for

    • Strategic Leadership - Craft and implement comprehensive strategies that advance our goals and objectives.
    • Organisational Development - Lead initiatives to enhance performance, culture, and effectiveness, including staff development and leadership training.
    • People and Strategy - Oversee high-quality HR services, ensuring policies and practices align with legal requirements and best practices.
    • Payroll Management - Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Equity and Inclusion - Promote a diverse and inclusive environment, implementing strategies to address disparities and champion inclusivity.
    • Leadership and Management - Inspire and develop your team, manage budgets, and report on HR metrics and initiatives.
    • Compliance and Risk Management - Ensure compliance with employment laws and policies and address complex employee relations issues.
    • Liaison with Trade Unions - Build positive relationships with trade unions, lead negotiations, and resolve disputes constructively

    What we are looking for

    • Proven experience in a senior HR or organisational development role, preferably within the education sector.
    • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing equity and inclusion strategies.
    • Exceptional leadership, management, and communication skills.
    • A strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
