The role: We are currently looking for a Project Coordinator based in Portchester either on a full or part time basis.

Working in our Project Management team, you will closely support BD to support the management of bidding activities across the business unit ensuring comprehensive, competitive and customer focused bids are produced for a range of complex new business opportunities.

As part of support to business development, the role holder will support in the formulation, coordination and execution of competitive business capture strategies, presenting these as business cases with the full support of the business unit to the senior leadership team prior to supporting negotiations with a customer

Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Support activities required as part of the development of a proposal to ensure a high-quality bid submission.
Coordination of a virtual bid team; including a variety of stakeholders, typically involving Sales, Commercial, Finance, Operations, In-Service Support.
Obtain engagement from the team to ensure all deadlines are met efficiently and that the bid is of the highest quality possible.
Facilitate the ideation of value focused solutions to meet customer requirements in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts and key stakeholders.
Coordination of a cross functional team of stakeholders to scope, define and cost the solution. Prepare, challenge, and validate cost estimates for labour, material and other costs.
Understand and resolve complex technical, financial and strategic business issues.
Identify and define the risks associated with each bid and ensure these are documented to support the bid approval process.
Interface with commercial and legal teams to review and agree contractual Terms and Conditions in line with company and corporate governance.
Help prepare business cases at bid reviews to senior leadership for approval.
Development and review of proposal material, ensuring it is clear, concise and compelling.
Support effective Project handovers following contract award to ensure that deployment plans are executed effectively and seamlessly and that the requirements of the contract are fully understood.

Experience of the bid process.
Strong commercial awareness.
Understanding of risk management.
Strong proposal writing skills.
Good project management skills.
Attention to detail.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

Managed bids.
Worked in a sales or support role.
