- Estimate Production (from Order of Magnitude estimates through to detailed estimates built up from first principles)
- Estimating Assurance
- Estimating Support to Major Programme Set up
- Cost intelligence and benchmarking
- Leading or managing the production of accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects/programmes;
- Playing a leading role in the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend in line with our Estimating Vision 25;
- Playing a leading role in the South West region helping to achieve regional strategic goals;
- Playing a leading role in the achievement of departmental objectives;
- Staying abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise;
- Working with Directors to construct bids for new work;
- Providing direction to staff working for you and with you on specific tasks;
- Responsibility for the development of junior members of the estimating team
- Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages;
- Taking responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients;
- Identifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunities;
- Staff management (where appropriate);
- Knowledge management .
- Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience;
- Previous experience of working with estimating software packages;
- Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB /A. Cost E;
- Experience of working on Major Programmes and Projects;
- Experience of working in the Infrastructure sector;
- Experience in leading and managing teams.

Job Description
Turner & Townsend is one of the leading consultancy providers to the Infrastructure sector and we have a thriving UK Estimating team making the difference for a large number of clients both in the UK and Overseas. We are now looking for talented Associate Director-level Estimating professionals to work within the South West region on a wide range of projects and major programmes of work, and to support the leadership of our ambitious growth plans.
Opportunities are available across the region within our Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth and Cardiff offices. Although our work is predominantly for regionally based clients, as workload requires, our Estimators have the opportunity to work remotely (within region) on estimating tasks for our clients both nationally and internationally.
