    Description

    We are looking for a Real Estate Finance (REF) lawyer to join our team. We would love to hear from you if you're a Real Estate Associate with either prior experience in REF or a desire to work in this area. If you want to act for high quality clients, as part of a settled and highly respected team, where you'll be supported and encouraged to shine, then this could be the move you've been looking for.

    The role

    Your work will focus on real estate finance, acting for both banks and borrowers in respect of real estate loans. Here is a snapshot of what you can expect to work across on a day-to-day basis:

    • Preparing reports on title and client specific property reports for commercial property
    • Conducting title investigations and reporting on properties to lender clients
    • Acting for borrowers in the production of due diligence documentation to bank's solicitors
    • Working as part of a team on larger-scale projects
    • Liaising with Clarion's Banking & Finance team to coordinate completion of security documentation
    • Working with third party suppliers and information databases including Companies House, Land Registry, third party search providers and indemnity insurance providers
    • Managing or supervising the post-completion registrations and processes at Companies House and the Land Registry

    The role is predominantly focused on real estate finance, so this must be your main area of interest. However, we can also offer you the opportunity to be involved in some more mainstream real estate transactions.

    What we are looking for

    To be considered you will need to be an Associate working in Real Estate with 1-5 years' PQE with either a genuine interest in, or experience of, real estate finance.

    To enjoy working at Clarion and thrive in the firm you will need to be motivated, a team player, commercially minded, calm under pressure and be able to work equally well autonomously and collaboratively.

    The role is based in Leeds with the ability to work from home 2-3 days per week.

    The team

    Our Real Estate team offers pragmatic advice with a no-nonsense approach and is one of the largest real estate teams in the North of England. Aside from core commercial property the team is also home to specialists working across construction, property disputes, planning and real estate finance. Our Real Estate Finance team acts for all types of lending institutions ranging from high street banks to secondary and tertiary lenders.
