    Principal Building Inspector/Team Lead - Southampton

    To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Building and Real Estate Division. SOCOTEC is the market-leading independent provider of Building Control, and we pride ourselves on being the experts and leading authority on building controls within the industry.

    We're looking to hire a Principal Building Inspector / Team Leader to support this growth. With a significant portfolio, from small specialist projects to some of the largest opportunities in the country.

    To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Membership or working towards membership of RICS, CABE or equivalent (or qualified by suitable experience) ensuring CPD requirements are met thereafter to broaden and develop skills.
  • Registered to RBI level 2 E-F as a minimum with an ambition to elevate to RBI level 3 G-H with our support and guidance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and deliver excellent client care.
  • A self-starting attitude and an ability to work independently as well as part of a large project team
  • Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, development of suitable solutions and the implementation of these solutions
  • Good IT Skill is desirable.
  • The ability to manage others within your team and act as a mentor.
