    Description

    Parent Ambassador Volunteersoffer a listening ear to anyone in a parenting role in their community to informthem of what support or services are in their local area.

    The role of the Parent Ambassador is to connectwith local families through coffee mornings/events, social media or throughconversation to support families to local support.

    The role also offers ourvolunteers FREE training opportunities to build their confidence, knowledge andskills. The skills and qualities required for this role are to be a good listener,encouraging and positive attitude, willingness to engage with their existingcommunities (i.e. schools/nurseries/sports clubs/social media pages) to make a differenceto families lives in their area.

    This is a great opportunity for anyone longerterm looking to progress into community work, family support, teaching orworking within schools.

    Skills
    ~ Lived experience of a parenting role – , step-parent, grandparent, kinship carer, SGO, foster carer, aunt,uncle etc.

    Empathetic and non-judgmental attitude to others
