    Description

    As a Sales Manager – Groups & Charters for Belmond Trains & Cruises, you are part of a team that drives revenue growth and maximises profitability by effectively selling group bookings, events and charter services. In this role, you are responsible for monitoring market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth. Based in London and reporting to the Director of Sales – Groups & Charters, this is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for excellence and storytelling in travel, a strong cultural awareness and an unswerving approach to maintaining standards.     Primary Responsibilities Include:

    • Generating regular reports on sales performance, forecasts and market insights to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Achieving and exceeding established revenue targets aimed at growing group and charter business in relevant markets and sector.
    • Developing and implementing a detailed and strategic action plan for group and charter business from Trains & Cruises owned accounts as well as from Belmond's in-market sales teams.
    • Maintaining an up-to-date groups and charter opportunity pipeline, for both optioned and proposed business.
    • Staying fully informed at all times of group and charter enquiries, ready to provide a detailed update to any Head of Department in the absence of the Director of Sales.

    Requirements

    What You Bring:

    • 3-5 years' relevant experience within a similar role, ideally in the luxury hospitality industry.
    • A relevant industry-related diploma or degree is advantageous.
    • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
    • Demonstrated ability to be innovative and creative, with exceptional communication and administrative skills.
