    In this integral role, you will be a pivotal force in talent development within a rapidly expanding biotech organization. As a hands-on HR business partner, you will be entrusted with comprehensive end-to-end support responsibilities. Your contribution will be critical to the cross-functional site-based leadership team, requiring a profound understanding of local employment laws, regulations, and customs. Your focus will be on enabling business success and fostering a culture of high performance. This position necessitates a regular onsite presence at our Harwell manufacturing facility, complemented by occasional travel to Moderna's offices in London, ensuring a cohesive and impactful HR strategy across multiple locations.

    Within 3 Months, You Will...

    • Collaboratively support Moderna's leadership teams across various UK functions, serving as a key HR partner on local matters. You will leverage global HRBP expertise, HR shared services, and Centers of Excellence (COE) support as appropriate.
    • Actively participate in both the manufacturing and country leadership teams, playing a significant role in guiding the development of workplace culture and talent management strategies.
    • Take the lead in the initiation phase of our new manufacturing facility in Harwell. Your role will involve designing and implementing foundational HR policies, procedures, and shift patterns, while fostering an engaging and inclusive work environment for all staff.

    Within 6 Months, You Will...

    • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, focusing on fostering a positive and direct engagement environment that aligns with Moderna's core Values and Mindsets.
    • Handle and oversee employee relations, offering expert advice on UK-specific legislative changes and implementing industry best practices to ensure Moderna's standards are upheld.
    • Act as a champion of Moderna's culture, working to ensure that the employment environment at the UK site is in harmony with the global standards set across Moderna's network of offices and manufacturing sites.

    Within 12 Months, You Will...

    • Engage in talent management planning and strategic talent development, ensuring that Moderna is equipped with the right talent for its growth and supporting their professional advancement within the organization.
    • Actively participate in recruitment efforts, collaborating closely with the global talent acquisition team to identify and onboard exceptional talent that aligns with Moderna's mission and values.
    • Oversee and enhance system workflows and communication processes across key functional areas, ensuring efficient and seamless execution of HR operations and strategic initiatives.

    Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:

    • Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years progressive Human Resources experience required.
    • Prior experience working in the technology, biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry is preferred
    • Experience with local employment and labor laws relevant to the jurisdiction(s) which have oversight to our facility.
    • Experience leading or participating in enterprise-wide initiatives in a fast growth environment is required, including skill in partnering with other members of the HR team
    • Ability to form strong partnerships and trust with employees regardless of level
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment
    • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)
    • A natural ability to be organized in how you think, communicate, and conduct your work.
