    Do you want to help keep children safe in East Sussex?

    We are looking to appoint a highly organised, proactive and experienced Senior Business Administrator for the East Sussex Safeguarding Children Partnership (ESSCP).

    The Safeguarding Children Partnership helps coordinate and support local organisations and agencies to work together in a system where children are safeguarded, and their welfare promoted.

    carrying out learning reviews of serious incidents where abuse or neglect is known or suspected, and there is concern about the way in which agencies worked together.

    coordinating safeguarding training and learning events for professionals that work with children and families.

    developing robust policies and procedures for staff who are working with children (on a range of issues including online safety, child exploitation, and self-harm).

    The partnership Senior Business Administrator provides vital support to ensure the effective administration of partnership activities.

    In addition, you need great organisational skills, accurate minute taking for complex safeguarding meetings, excellent MS Office skills and a desire to make a difference for the children, young people and families in East Sussex.

    The partnership business unit is a small friendly team.

    A considerable amount of the partnership activity is undertaken virtually, via MS Teams, so the Senior Business Administrator will need to have a proactive nature and able to work both independently and in a team.

    Office bases used for in-person meetings predominantly are in Lewes and Eastbourne, but can be across the entire County as required to meet the needs of the partnership.

    The Senior Business Administrator vacancy is for 18.5hours a week, to be worked Tuesday to Thursday each week from flexible locations.

    This post is subject to an EnhancedDBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previouslythe Criminal Records Bureau).

    Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.
    Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

    Work Permits:

    we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency's Points-based Immigration System.
