    Accounts Manager

    About the Job:
    This position is for an Accounts Manager at a well-established accountancy firm located in Ipswich, Suffolk. The company is considered one of the top 100 in its field, providing accounting and taxation services to both businesses and individuals.

    The Role:
    As an Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing client portfolios to ensure compliance with tax and accounting regulations. Your tasks will include reviewing compliance work such as year-end statutory accounts, VAT returns, and tax returns; acting as the main point of contact for clients; supervising team members and office workflow; collaborating with different departments within the company; building relationships with a variety of businesses; providing advice to clients; assisting Directors with projects; and expanding your professional network.

    Responsibilities:
    - Review compliance work, including year-end statutory accounts, VAT returns, and tax returns.
    - Serve as primary client contact, working closely with designated partner.
    - Supervise team members and oversee office workflow.
    - Collaborate with other departments in the company.
    - Develop relationships across different businesses while handling multiple assignments.
    - Provide advice to clients on queries.
    - Support Directors with ad hoc projects.
    - Proactively build a network of professional contacts.

    Requirements:
    - Previous experience in a similar role to Accounts Manager.
    - Minimum of 4 years of practice experience.
    - ACCA / ICAEW part or fully qualified.
    - Strong knowledge of tax, including computation and advisory aspects for personal and corporate taxes.
