- As Finance Analyst – Fleet Transitions you will be responsible for the modelling on fleet transition activities for new aircraft entering the fleet, fleet extensions and exits. You will work with business partners in the Fleet and Engineering teams to ensure that costs of transitions are reported accurately and are forecasted.
- In addition to fleet movements, you will own the end-to-end financial management of costs related to the Auxiliary Power Unit component (APU) major overhaul programme across all airlines. This includes building provisions for the major overhaul events under the terms of the aircraft leases and management of the balance sheets.
- Support the creation of the optimum aircraft lifecycle model in collaboration with the Finance Manager and Aircraft Asset & Business Management (AABM) department based upon the inputs from both Finance and Engineering. You will do this by maintaining the Life Cycle and Reserve model inputs such as maintenance date, location and cost assumptions, as well as executing the accounting adjustments required to embed any optimisation decisions into our maintenance provisions.
- A key part of the role will be driving continuous improvement activities within the Engineering Finance Team, including any IT /Analytics projects in this area. Part qualified (or studying towards professional qualification of ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of excel, including vlookups and pivot tables.
- Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
