    Framework Project Manager Lead - United Kingdom - Siemens Gas and Power GmbH & Co. KG

    As our Framework Project Management Lead, you will play a vital role within our Project Teams and handle customer concerns for the Project Directors and Lead Project Managers. Your aim will be to enable efficiency whilst ensuring the highest level of quality and Health & safety continuously. Leading by example, you will strive to always improve Siemens Energy reputation within the market.

    Your profile

    We are looking for someone who has Project Management/Contract Management experience gained within the Transmission & Distribution Industry as well as leading multiple Project Management teams and/or portfolio framework management. You will possess a great understanding of Transmission & Distribution standards & technologies together with knowledge of Substation Primary & Secondary Systems. An excellent knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety and Environmental Regulations as well as Risk Management processes.

    You will have experience of leading a portfolio of projects delivered by a number of project teams along with functional and line management leadership skills. Customer facing skills are critical as you will be the Framework Manager for the highly successful Joint Venture Framework.

    Contractual management knowledge and experience, especially NEC, is crucial in the execution of this role.

    Of course, excellent communication & interpersonal skills are required along with a strong work ethic, able to work of own initiative and ability to be proactive, lead and make decisions.

    Your responsibilities

    You will lead a framework of turnkey HV substation projects for a Joint Venture Framework. You will work as part of the Systems delivery team, reporting to the Delivery Operations Manager while working alongside the Technical, Procurement, Installation & Commissioning leads on all aspects of project delivery.

    As point of escalation for the leadership delivery team, you will enable efficient project delivery whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, Health & Safety and improving the reputation of Siemens Energy.

    You will be required to ensure delivery on all technical, procurement and quality information while maintaining outstanding Health and Safety Standards throughout the delivery of projects in your portfolio, including adherence to PM standards and Business Conduct Guidelines (e.g. Tax regulations, Export Control, EHS).

    Commercially and technically, you are required to support the project teams in the resolutions of any issues raised, internally or externally, and ensuring resolutions within the Framework and customer. You will be required to raise any significant potential risks, variations, and opportunities within the business as required.

    Responsible for attending Monthly Progress meetings for internal and external reporting, along with supporting the project teams being customer facing on discussions as needed.

    On a framework level you will be present for Directors Steering Group meetings with senior customer representatives and lead the delivery from Siemens Energy and the JV at these meetings, working closely with the Deputy Framework Manager responsible for our framework partner. You will take part in and jointly lead the internal JV management and board meetings working to maintain and develop the JV to continuously improve our market position.

    Visible Leadership is a must - You will attend customer and JV meetings at various locations for certain meetings as well as visit the construction sites.

    You will also support our tendering department on future project opportunities with the "Capture Team" approach as well as setting the project management strategy.
