    Junior Pastry Sous Chef

    East London

    £35,000

    My client is a leading hospitality and catering company and they are looking to continue the expansion of their kitchen team and are keen to speak to a talented Junior Pastry Sous Chef with a passion for creativity and excellent attention to detail.

    My client is a vibrant culinary champion and at the core of their work is the belief that sustainably sourced great food and drink coupled with exceptional service is the key to creating legendary experiences.

    As a Junior Pastry Sous Chef, you will be an integral part of my clients team, sharing your expertise and creativity to deliver exceptional experiences to their guests.

    Junior Pastry Chef Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Pastry Chef in creating and implementing innovative pastry menus and bakery items
    • Support the overall pastry kitchen and bakery team by ensuring a high level of food quality and presentation standards
    • Maintain inventory levels of pastry ingredients and ensure that all supplies are ordered in a timely manner
    • Be compliant with current food hygiene and safety regulations
    • Participate in the development of new pastry and bakery recipes, including gluten-free, vegan and sugar-free options

    Key requirements;

    • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position
    • Ability to work as part of a team in a high-pressure environment
    • Passion for pastry and a dedication to precision and detail
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience in creating and baking bakery items
    • Knowledge of gluten-free and sugar-free pastry options is essential
    • Availability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and some evenings. 5 days out of 7.
