    Description
    Position An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Data Maintenance Co-ordinator to join our Control Operations Yorkshire Team.

    At Northern Powergrid, our vision is to be the best energy company in serving our 3.9 million homes, whilst delivering a sustainable energy solution, as a Data Maintenance Coordinator you will be an integral part of achieving this.

    The successful candidate will effectively co-ordinate and be responsible for carrying out HV diagram changes to reflect the latest network state, assisting the completion of any capital works, processing requests from delivery units and the network access team with due consideration of business priorities to ensure the network is fully utilised and optimised.

    In addition, you will provide support to the control centre Operations Technology Team by being involved in the current IT Projects, such as system automation and NMS diagram modifications and reporting functions.

    The role requires medium term planning as well as reactive and real time updates to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved.

    Business Unit:
    Control Operations

    An understanding of the Network Management System format and structure.

    • Completion of technical patch work which involves interpretation and understanding of system diagrams and data.
    • Live NMS diagram changes and database changes.
    • Network diagram re-draws to improve clarity of system.
    • Liaison with Network Access to ensure prepared outages and diagram amendments are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Verification of NMS database and diagram changes post outage.
    • Liaison with Field Engineers to ensure accuracy of asset data is kept.
    • Provide support to Network Access team as required.
    • Provide support to the Network Access Coordinator during times of busy network activity and holiday periods.
    • Advance warning report completion and distribution Diagram amendments and symbol building on the NMS diagram.
    Logistics and planning skills

    • Full UK Driving Licence
    • Basic IT skills including the use of MS office applications such as Excel and Access
    Knowledge of the Control Outage Planning process
