    CAPSULES PRODUCT (INGREDIENT AND COFFEE) R&D EXPERT

    The successful candidate will work directly reporting to the Director of Development and Engineering.

    We are seeking a self-motivated and innovative Capsule Product R&D Expert to join our growing company and help us continue to push the envelope with our products.

    As Product R&D Expert, he/she will be responsible for owning the development and delivery of new products (Coffee and Ingredient) by conducting research, creating product timeframes and plans, and helping crafting marketing strategies for new products.

    The successful candidate has to demonstrate strong technical background (specially in the Ingredient and coffee products) that is typically focused on the more technical aspects of the product.

    A big part of the Product R&D Expert job is translating business requirements into technical requirements.
    He/She will work in a teams and projects allocated in different countries (Spain-France).

    This will happen starting, first, from the Team in CCT and then, step by step he/she will cooperate, also with Valence's (FRA) Team.

    The successful candidate must develop products (Ingredient and coffee products) by identifying potential products, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction, analysing with marketing possible strategies, cooperating with Capsule R&D and Engineering Group Team to develop the proper processes for industrializing, starting in production and produce new products.


    RESPONSABILITIES :

    • Help Capsule's product vision delivering innovative new products to keep the business relevant and competitive.
    • Analyse Customers' requests and propose solutions.
    • Conduct Product's market research to identify user need for new products
    • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies to suggest.
    • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes,
    • Work closely with Capsule R&D and Engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
    • Establish requirements and specifications for existing and new products.
    • Clearly communicate the vision and goals of existing and new products
    • Participate to cross-functional teams in developing: product and design
    • Demonstrate functionality of completed products to internal team members and other stakeholders.
    • Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements.
    • Collaborate with Commercial areas team members, and outside influencers to ensure a solid and well-rounded understanding of products and developing needs.
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, solutions, and company offerings.
    • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
    • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product changes.
    • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
    • Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
    • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product strategy forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.
    • Brings new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Proven work experience in Coffee (specially) Capsule development/production
    • Proven work experience in Ingredient (specially) Capsule development/production
    • A bachelor's Technical degree or master degree in a related field.
    • Very strong capacity for adaptation, responsiveness and organization to respond to everyday situations
    • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful Coffee Capsule product throughout its lifecycle
    • Proven ability to develop product and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
    • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
    • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job
    • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
    • Fluent English imperative (French is welcome)
