    Policy Officer (fixed-term)

    Contract:
    Fixed-term until January 2025
    27 days annual leave + statutory holidays + 3 closures days over the Christmas period;

    Location:
    London/Bristol - employees are able to work from home on an arrangement agreed with their line manager.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for a fixed-term Policy Officer position, due to internal secondment.

    The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England.

    We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.You can find further information about the NHF on our website.

    Interested in applying your skills and knowledge, and working in a fast-paced environment on an important area of housing policy?

    Playing a key role in the work of the policy team creating briefings, working closely with our members and helping to develop policy ideas and solutions.


    • Keeping up to date with the current policy environment, latest thinking and issues that impact the sector and housing associations.
    • Providing policy input, support and advice to other parts of the NHF through events and project groups.
    An understanding of the processes of policy development, and experience of working in a policy team

    • Experience of building and developing relationships with stakeholders
