    What the role of Manager, Data Science Engineer entails

    • Lead a team of sports modelers in creating, testing, and implementing sports models and sportsbook applications
    • Be accountable for the design, development, maintenance, and testing approach of sports models
    • Work closely with key figures in Sportsbook and Engineering to establish goals and outcomes for new sports models or improvements to existing ones
    • Contribute to the structure and design of DS projects and strategic plans, emphasizing on quality, reliability, and productivity
    • Provide guidance and organize knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure data science engineers produce top-notch work

    What you should bring to the table

    • Previous experience as a team leader in a data science or quantitative analytics team, overseeing technical projects from development and deployment to monitoring application performance
    • Proficiency in a programming language, preferably Python, with a strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles
    • Past involvement in developing sports models professionally or as a personal interest
    • Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure, particularly AWS ML tools
    • Knowledge of standard DevOps practices like containerization and monitoring
    • Preferably acquainted with Kubernetes and Kafka
    • Understanding of Sportsbook products will be advantageous
    • Outstanding communication and organizational skills with the ability to convey crucial business information clearly and promptly
    • PhD, Masters, or Bachelor's degree in STEM disciplines
    • Passion for sports
