    Role: DevSecOps Engineer Level 2 Location : Washington DC Onsiteposition Term of theproject 5 years (1920 Hours per year) Previous DoLexperience in strongly preferred

    Roles and ResponsibilitiesRequirements:

    TheDevSecOps Engineer Level 2 provides seniorlevelplatform management architecture and support the unification andautomation of processes to enable the development of softwarecapability across the entire DOL organization instrumental incombining code application maintenance and application management.Create lead and implement the tools to deliver an automated CI/CDpipelinebased DevSecOps system capable of supporting containerscompiled software applications scripts and source code in aprecompiled state. The DevSecOps engineer Level 2 brings a strongunderstanding of the development lifecycle goals and thetransactions occurring within pipelines scanning tools deploymentsand all development lifecycle steps. Work across the developmentsecurity operations and infrastructure (HW and SW) teams to ensurethat the DevSecOps tools and processes support the holistic systemdevelopment integration and fielding effort. Works actively withapplication development teams to coordinate and optimize the stepsthat execute within the DevOps ecosystem and bring consistency andbest practices in approach tools and standards. Also create andmaintain fully automated Continuous Integration (CI) build andContinuous Deployment (CD) processes which include writing buildsand deployment scripts. Actively participates and provides inputsin major design decisions working with Architects. Designs anddevelops the system to set the standard for future development andcraft an architecture that smoothly works with existinginfrastructure without compromising security. Identifies andintroduces new opportunities to build platformbased solutions tohelp users meet their toughest challenges. Demonstrates experienceidentifying marketplace plugins and/or designing/developing customconnectors as needed. Supports DOL to set the longterm strategy androadmap for each teams platform standardization modernization andprocess/tool adoption.

    ExperienceRequirements:

    • Bachelors degree with seven (10) plus years ITdevelopment experience (with a minimum of 5 years of experience inDevSecOps practice & tools);
    • Experiencebuilding DevSecOps services in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS in Cloud(AWS Azure) environments and good understanding of theirsecurity considerations;
    • Familiarity withcontainerization and orchestration tools like Docker andKubernetes;
    • Experience withKubernetes Docker and/or other cloud orchestration technologies;
    • Experience with CI/CD best practicesautomated builds and tests quality gates software quality and CItools i.e. Jenkins Ansible Terraform etc.;
    • Experience with configuration managementtools i.e. Git GitHub GitLab Bitbucket others;
    • Familiarity with branching strategies gatedcommits sourcecontrolled management etc;
    • Familiarity with the principle of DevSecOps;Atlassian JIRA or other defect tracking tool experience;Atlassian Confluence GitLab/GitHub Jenkins and artifactrepository experience;
    • Familiaritywith security coding standard best practices static and dynamicscanning tools i.e. SonarQube Fortify CoverityPCLint etc;
    • Programming andscripting experience in a UNIX environment(Bash Shell PowerShell Perl Python Bash Ruby ShellScripts);
    • Must haveAgile/SAFe and other related developercertifications and or demonstrate equivalent experience;
