    Description

    12 The Role :S&P Global Commodity Insights is looking for a Principal or Senior Analyst to join our Commodity Briefing Service (CBS) team and develop our new Aluminum analytics offering.

    The role will consist of building a view of supply and demand, and other metrics, to develop 10-year term price forecasts for key global alumina and aluminum benchmarks for publication in monthly and ad-hoc reports.

    The Aluminum CBS will join a suite of successful analysis reports covering a range of Metals and will require someone who enjoys engaging with clients and who can participate in S&P Global webinars and conferences as a thought leader.

    S&P Global Commodity Insights coverage includes oil and gas, power, petrochemicals, metals, agriculture, and shipping.

    The Career Opportunity:

    Building the content and data required for a new service will provide exposure to colleagues in product development, marketing, and other departments.

    Working within a team of experienced analysts will help you gain valuable experience of a range of traded commodities and global markets.

    The Team / The Business :Our Commodity Briefing Service team provides in-depth expert insight and analysis into the metals and mining sector.

    We deliver robust, independent research and analysis drawn from a range of information sources.

    Our high-quality products and services help clients identify, benchmark and value new business opportunities, monitor competitors and market trends, and act on strategies more confidently and efficiently.

    Experience in building supply/demand and price forecasting models will be advantageous.

    Some business travel as required
    Advanced MS Excel skillsand other MS programs
    Familiarity with VBA, and SQL and/or Python programming language
