When you come onboard, or before, please discuss this with your manager so you can agree the best ways of working for your role, team, and client.

    Get The Future You Want

    Your wellbeing
You'd be joining an accredited Great Place to work for Wellbeing in 2023. Employee wellbeing is vitally important to us as an organisation. We see a healthy and happy workforce a critical component for us to achieve our organisational ambitions.
To help support wellbeing we have trained 'Mental Health Champions' across each of our business areas, and we have invested in wellbeing apps such as Thrive and Peppy.

    Impactful Experiences
You will reimagine what's possible: creating value for the world's leading organisations through technology to build a sustainable, more inclusive future. You will work with a range of clients all with a unique set of business, technological and societal ambitions, which will make a real impact across the UK.

    An overview of the role:

As a Demand Forecasting Consultant, you will become a key Member of our Intelligent Industry Analytics team, you will have the opportunity to work across sectors and industries, but your specific capability expertise will be in demand forecasting. You will work with market-leading clients, applying cutting-edge technologies to solve impactful demand forecasting problems. Your expertise in demand forecasting, data analytics and consulting skills will drive bottom-line growth for our clients by optimising demand and supply planning, forecasting, inventory optimisation, and operational efficiency.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact and shape the future of businesses through data-driven insights. You will leverage your consulting skills by managing projects and delivering client deliverables while making recommendations on the future strategies for their businesses.

    The work:

No matter the project or customer, your work will have a meaningful impact on society, businesses and lives. It's really rewarding. And it's also really varied. You'll potentially work on a huge variety of projects (some larger than others), so you could gain lots of experience in a short amount of time.

    Why this role?

Imagine starting your day by collaborating with our clients, helping them harness the power of data and become truly data-driven enterprises. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging advanced analytics, AI, and emerging technologies to tackle complex forecasting challenges head-on.

Leading data-driven projects and transformations, you'll dive deep into supply chain or energy supply processes, such as demand and supply planning, forecasting, inventory and cost analysis. Your analytical skills will enable you to translate data into actionable business insights, empowering clients to enhance growth and operational efficiency.

But your role doesn't end with data analysis alone. You will play a pivotal consulting role: for example, facilitating workshops, managing workstreams, delivering impactful communications to our clients, providing recommendations on their future, providing training and support on new capabilities. Building strong relationships with stakeholders, you'll collaborate closely to understand their needs, address challenges, and achieve successful outcomes.

Fuelling your passion for continuous learning, you'll stay ahead of industry trends, constantly exploring advancements in demand forecasting and technology. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our leadership initiatives and the development of innovative analytics and AI products and services. Together, we'll address sustainability challenges, combat climate change, and champion active inclusion.

As a Consultant/ Senior Consultant in the business you'll help set the direction, driving forward the business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team. Key expectations from this role include:
Bullet points and/or paragraph of role requirements

We'd love to meet someone with:

  • Proven professional experience in demand forecasting roles, such as demand forecasting analyst, data scientist or researcher. Preferably either in industries such as Consumer Products and Retail, MALS (Manufacturing, Automotive and Life Sciences), Energy & Utilities, Consulting, or Academia.
  • Strong ability to translate data into actionable insights and provide business recommendations.
  • Experience with data analytics, data visualisation, and AI tools.
  • Familiarity with project management and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex insights in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills.
  • Degree in Mathematics, STEM, or a supply chain-related field.
  • Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Currently working in a Consulting firm, industry, or on a PhD project.
  • We recognise that every individual brings a unique set of skills and experiences to the table. While we have outlined some specific skills we are looking for, we understand that no candidate is likely to possess all of them. If you have some of the skills listed or possess related experience, we encourage you to apply. We believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, and your unique perspective could be exactly what we need.

    Why Capgemini is unique

At Capgemini we don't just believe in Diversity & Inclusion, we actively go out to making it a working reality. Driven by our core values and Active Inclusion Campaign, we build environments where you can bring you whole self to work.
We aim to build an environment where employees can enjoy a positive work-life balance. Through our New Normal campaign, we are looking to embed hybrid working in all that we do and make flexible working arrangements the day-to-day reality for our people. All UK employees are eligible to request flexible working arrangements.
Employee wellbeing is vitally important to us as an organisation. We see a healthy and happy workforce a critical component for us to achieve our organisational ambitions. To help support wellbeing we have trained 'Mental Health Champions' across each of our business areas. We have also invested in wellbeing apps such as Thrive and Peppy.

    Collaboration and Innovation:

We really believe in creating a partnership with our customers. Using our Accelerated Solutions Environment (ASE), you'll get to know the customer's needs and challenges, demo innovative solutions and quickly solve problems. It'll help you discover unexpected answers together.

    Learning and development:

There's an endless amount to learn at Capgemini, and an endless number of ways to do so. So, you'll also have unique training opportunities to take advantage of. Some of our consultants even have the chance to go to Les Fontaine (near Paris, France), where we host a conference. Outside of dedicated training, everyone makes time to help and support one another - collaboration is encouraged across all our teams.

    CSR:

We're also focused on using tech to have a positive social impact. So, we're working to reduce our own carbon footprint and improve everyone's access to a digital world. It's something we're really serious about. In fact, we were even named as one of the world's most ethical companies by the Ethisphere Institute for the 10th year. When you join Capgemini, you'll join a team that does the right thing.

Whilst you will have London, Manchester or Glasgow as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.
