- Processing client and office receipts per the firm's processes and policies.
- Setting up electronic payments in a timely and organised manner.
- Ensure compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
- Actioning any internal bank transfers as required from client or office account.
- Calculating interest due on client account transactions.
- Ensure that client balances are returned promptly.
- Supporting the wider accounts team, completing any additional ad hoc tasks as required
- Previous accounting experience, ideally from the legal sector. A previous role as a legal cashier would be advantageous.
- A solid understanding of the Solicitor's Accounts Rules.
- Experience using different currencies and understanding how those transfers work.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels.
- Commercial and pragmatic outlook.
- Ability to demonstrate a flexible and hands-on attitude, responding effectively to rapidly changing circumstances.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and be a role model for the team.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Able to work autonomously.
