    Th Role: Regional Sales Director, Scotland & Northern Ireland

    Location: Home based - Scotland

    This role is an excellent opportunity to lead a talented, ambitious, and high performing region in a fast moving and forward-looking business with defined plans for future growth.

    You will join a well-established team reporting to the Regional Director North and deliver sales revenue targets across the Pru and M&G Wealth propositions including PruFund and our M&G Wealth MPS. You will be responsible for all aspects of development, quality and regulatory conduct of the Account Management team operating over panelled independent adviser firms both in Scotland and Northern Ireland. The panels have a strong supporter base and good market share with potential for growth around the wider M&G Wealth proposition.

    The overall package is competitive with an uncapped bonus and high earning potential if you and your region are performing successfully.

    This role is an excellent opportunity for an established, successful leader with extensive knowledge of asset management or platform distribution in S&NI or an already successful Account Manager or BDM looking to progress their skills and career in a field-based leadership role.

    Key Responsibilities for this role:

  • Act in the best interests of the company, policyholders, and shareholders to deliver the goals of the business.
  • Lead and coach account managers to stronger performance, drawing from extensive experience and success in the UK life and pensions, asset management or platform industry.
  • Fully support and uphold our compliant culture in Intermediated Distribution, with a strong awareness of regulatory expectations and adherence to our risk appetites and controls.
  • Demonstrate a team-based management approach within the distribution model to maximize returns and opportunities, fostering a positive and collaborative culture.
  • Drive strong profits from the geography, delivering targets and revenue objectives while overseeing regional structure, including panel builds and Business Plans.
  • Show a strong understanding of how technology can enhance our sales process and market opportunities, and embed its use in our future way of working.
  • Coach and educate teams on the value and application of technology.
  • Lead by example as a hands-on leader, always being fair, open, and honest.
  • Identify necessary tasks and assign the right people for the job, providing clear accountabilities and stretching work objectives.
  • Take an active role in helping each team member perform to their best, understanding how their work contributes to the achievement of business success.
  • Evaluate and monitor the collective performance of your team to ensure alignment with the strategic priorities of the business while recognising successes around what is delivered and how people approach their work.
  • Produce Business Plans and manage costs commercially.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across sales in M&G plc.
  • Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
  • Experience of financial analysis and sales/revenue drivers
  • Significant experience of relationship management
  • Experience in the Financial Advice sector, with an excellent understanding of the intermediaries marketplace
  • Experience of regulated sales environments
  • Expert level knowledge of industry best practice, good network/link with external bodies and individuals on the same field
  • Detailed knowledge of company products, systems and distribution
  • Understanding of the Statements of Principle and Code of Practice
  • Expert level knowledge of life and pensions products, markets and competitors
  • Expert level knowledge of financial services regulatory and legislatory frameworks
  • Must live in or near the relevant Region for the role
  • Qualifications:

  • QCF Level 4 PFS/CII (Diploma Chartered Financial Planner) as a minimum.
  • Work Level: Manager Expert
