    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering strategic HR guidance on challenging business issues and projects.
    • Collaborate with business leaders to identify talent management priorities, create workforce plans, and address employee relations issues.
    • Promote HR best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the HR department.

    MAIN ASSIGNMENTS

    Employee Relations:

    • Recommend employee relations practices to establish positive employer-employee relationships and boost employee engagement.
    • Promote a fair approach to employee-employer relations, fostering empowerment and a strong work ethic while building a culture of trust and commitment.
    • Enhance employee relations and experience by leading well-being and Diversity initiatives, and launching employee community groups.

    Organisational Design:

    • Work with senior leadership to assess and design organizational structures that align with business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
    • Lead restructuring efforts such as mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
    • Develop change management strategies for smooth transitions during organizational changes. Analyze critical roles in the organization, identifying key competencies, skills, and performance indicators.
    • Collaborate with department heads to create role profiles, competency frameworks, and succession plans for key positions.
    • Implement strategies to address talent shortages and ensure the organization meets current and future business needs.

    Redundancy Procedures:

    • Engage with affected employees and stakeholders during the restructuring process through proactive communications.
    • Oversee redundancy processes, including consultation, selection criteria development, and redeployment opportunities.
    • Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies throughout the redundancy process.
    • Provide support to managers and employees impacted by redundancy, ensuring a respectful transition experience.

    PERSON SPECIFICATION

    Qualifications

    ·CIPD Level 5 (Level 7 preferred)

    Essential Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of UK Payroll Practices.
    • Proficient in all core HR disciplines such as Compensation and Benefits, Employee/ Industrial Relations, and Business partnering.
    • Expertise in UK Employment Law and its application to strategic decision-making.
    • Experience in managing complex employee relations work.
    • Commercial acumen to develop commercially focused people strategies.
    • Proven track record of establishing high-performing HR functions to support business needs.
    • Experience in streamlining HR processes for an improved end-user experience.

    Non-Technical Skills:

    • Ability to empower and develop team members.
    • Experience in field-based activities and office settings.
    • Supporting organizations through growth, integration, and cultural transformation.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to influence.
    • Comfortable acting as a coach and sounding board for Senior managers.
    • Collaborative and able to engage at all levels of an organization.
    • Grounded, data-driven, and rational.
