    :

    Venator has an immediate opening for a Financial Consolidation Manager on a fixed term basis to manage the legal reporting consolidation of Venator, resulting in the production of consolidated financial statements. This role is part of our Corporate Accounting team based at the Group's headquarters in Wynyard, UK.

    Job responsibilities include:
    • Be responsible for timely and accurate completion of the full Corporate monthly financial consolidation and adherence to the close schedule of all legal entities. Proactively monitor completion status and be prepared to quickly adapt to changing circumstances to achieve this. Set an environment and tone for high quality information generation.
    • Ensure reconciliation of all consolidation related data is timely and accurate. In order to achieve this, maintain knowledge of the key contacts, both direct and indirect, to ensure that any gaps and/or issues can be resolved within the timetable.
    • Generate all elimination and topside consolidation entries.
    • Maintain the consolidation company structure in adherence to Treasury, Tax, Divisional, and external reporting requirements. Identify other key stakeholders and ensure their needs are also met.
    • Assist reporting units with monthly close questions and supplemental data collection. Tailor support according to the experience and background of the individual(s) concerned to provide the maximum transfer of knowledge. Where recurring or common themes are identified, develop appropriate knowledge-sharing to eliminate problems or drive consistency on a wider basis using an appropriate delivery medium.
    • Review consolidated income, balance sheet, and cash flows, identifying unexpected or unusual items and resolving material misstatements. Use past experience and common sense to identify, select and develop solutions. Work openly and collaboratively with suppliers and customers to ensure successful completion.
    • Prepare and maintain appropriate supporting documentation.
    • Be responsible for compliance with internal controls. Generate a strong desire for achieving compliance across the team.
    • Assist external auditors with any client requests, where necessary selecting appropriate information and presentation as needed to best compromise between audit need and business resources.
    • Supervise the development of reporting applications using the consolidation tool.
    • Identify and deliver reporting enhancement opportunities. Gather customer needs, tailor enhancements accordingly and ensure that customer needs are satisfied (within relevant constraints).
    • Assist various departments with special requests and other financial filing requirements including non-US holding company consolidations.

      Candidate requirements:
      • First degree or equivalent international degree, preferably in accounting.
      • US CPA license or Chartered Accountant certification (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA) required.
      • 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably with 4 of those years in a managerial consolidation role with a large international entity.
      • 2/3+ years of experience in public accounting with multi-legal entity clients preferred.
      • Understanding of US GAAP, IFRS and financial statement preparation.
      • Experience working with multiple currencies/FAS 52.
      • Consolidation system maintenance experience with SAP BPC preferred, however, other consolidation applications such as TM1 and Hyperion would also be considered.
      • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, formulas, and macros.
      • SAP or other enterprise system experience highly preferred.
      • Strong analytical and financial skills.
      • Strong communicator & capable of self-management
      • Detail oriented with the ability to perform work with a high level of accuracy
