    About The Role

    Would you like to be part of something new and exciting? Would you like to be part of a project which sees a new service grown and develop? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to work at our new Supported Living services in Denaby, Doncaster, as an Assistant Community Support Manager.

    The Assistant Community Support Manager is responsible for leading a designated group of support workers to ensure that excellent services are delivered to each person supported by The Group. This role is a supervisory role and an Assistant Community Support Manager is expected both to formally and informally (through the use of mentorship, role modelling etc.) supervise each support worker on a regular basis.

    You will be expected to monitor, report and advise on practices which promote choice, well-being and protection of all individuals as well as ensuring individual and groups are supported appropriately when experiencing significant life events and transitions. Please note as this role is for a new service that has not yet opened you may well be redeployed to an alternative Hesley Group residential services until such time of opening. #he-1

    About You

    You will be required to have the following qualifications:
  • Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Adult Health and Social Care and willing to work towards level 4 within 2 years of appointment
  • A MINIMUM of Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths (or GCSE A*-C English and Maths/GCSE Grade 4 or higher from 2018)
  • As well as the above qualifications you will need to have experience of relevant supervisory management in a care setting and have a caring and supportive attitude towards others which is founded on respect and an effective work style which is responsive, participative and creative. It essential that you have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities as well as detailed knowledge of relevant Care Standards and effective care assessment and planning processes.
