- Overall responsibility for the year end external audit, including liaison with the auditors to agree a timetable for each stage of the audit process, overseeing the planning and field work stages and ensuring that the audit is completed, and statutory accounts fully signed in line with the required deadline.
- Responsibility for compliance with all relevant taxes that the group is subject to.
- Work collaboratively with other Finance team members, specifically to meet reporting deadlines and improve existing processes.
- Assist with various financial reporting responsibilities, including Group FD financial reporting packages and annual standalone statutory financial statements, and adhoc analysis.
- Assist other team members as needed, including holiday cover.
- Assist Senior Leaders with confidential financial matters and adhoc projects as needed.

This is an exciting time to join the business in a newly created role, working closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team with good career development and skill enhancement opportunities.
As Financial Accountant, you will be a significant stakeholder within the finance team, preparing financial statements, oversing audits and accounts analysis and reconciliations.
You will work alongside and be supported by a talented team, mentored and developed by a talented Financial Controller and Finance Director.
Oversee preparation of financial statements for entities within the Group, ensuring that they incorporate all current requirements of UK GAAP, plus ensuring that the role holder's technical knowledge is kept up to date for any changes such that these are incorporated where appropriate.
About you:
You will be a fully qualified accountant, ideally with a sound accountancy practice groundingand up to date technical accounting knowledge and experience in relation to the compiling of statutory accounts as well as a sound Audit grounding.
You will have strong Excel skills and enjoy working with data and the subsequent analysis of the data to provide insightful MI.
Ideally, you will also have expereince of corporation tax and VAT, however this is not essential.Salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience
Holiday entitlement of 26 days + statutory leave
Pension - matched up to 6%
Please note that this role requires commitment of 5 days p/w in office.
