    Description
    Finance Business Partner – 18 month FTC Hertfordshire, hybrid (3 days a week in office)
    £60,000 - £70,000 + car /EV + Bonus & benefits

    Enjoying continued growth in recent years, the business has ambitious plans to capitalise on this success.

    As a result of an increasing number of large projects, the group is currently seeking a new Finance Business Partner on an 18-month FTC.

    Key Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner

    the Finance Director with development and management of the Finance team
    Partner with operations leadership teams across multiple contracts to drive profitability and margin performance
    of results against forecasts and provide variance analysis for leadership team review
    key support, analysis and coordination of the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting cycle
    for the timely and accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations and identification of potential risks/opportunities
    production of accurate insightful monthly management accounts
    financial processes/controls are adhered to and to identify/implement improvements in processes and systems as appropriate
    and challenge Project Financials at Forecast & Review meetings, partnering the Project teams to drive the best performance
    of commercial understanding to drive project profitability
    and review of VAT returns, PSA and other tax returns
    the interim and year-end audit process working with External Auditors
    year end statutory and other information to Group Finance

    Skills & Attributes of the Finance Business Partner

    accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
    Partnering experience supporting decision-making and drive the understanding of project performance in operational leadership
    knowledge of financial and management accounting practices
    in project accounting would be highly advantageous but not essential
    to the construction industry or a project environment would be desirable
