    Gleeds have been appointed to a major defence framework to deliver a range of complex, high value construction projects across a substantial UK defence estate in the South of England.

    We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our dedicated defence team to lead delivery and support the overall programme for this landmark scheme.


    You will be a Senior Project Manager in the team, responsible for managing a range of projects for the construction, refurbishment, repurposing and upgrading of commercial, manufacturing and storage facilities in a high security environment.

    You will provide excellent communication an collaboration with colleagues, programme leads, client representatives, consultants and contractors on site to effectively deliver projects from inception to completion.


    To be considered for this position you will need to have experience in construction project management, ideally with prior project management positions with central government or defence clients.

    Delivery of projects in line with client processes & procedures, to time, cost & quality standards

    ~ Manage & support a direct project team in delivery of individual and collaborative objectives

    ~ Lead in project planning, as well as management of costs and human resources

    ~ Identify, report and manage risk & opportunity within project scope,

    ~ Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives

    Sound project management and/or programme management experience post qualification.
    Sound knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniques
    Ability to administer construction contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer's Agent and/or Project Manager
    Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
    Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills
    Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
