    School Business Manager | Westminster

    School Business Manager, Ofsted 'Outstanding' School, £40,000 - £50,000.

    A distinguished Secondary School located in the Westminster area is seeking a School Business Manager to enhance the support structure of the school. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the schools financial and administrative operations daily and advocating for the highest standards of business ethos.

    School Business Manager summary:
    • School Business Manager salary is £40,000 - £50,000.
    • The responsibilities of School Business Manager encompass Finance, Premises & Facilities Management, Personnel, Catering and Health and Safety functions.
    • Assisting the school's leadership team in optimizing resource utilisation to meet learning objectives effectively.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Finance and Operations, Management Accountant, Trust Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the Headteacher to develop a pragmatic and well-balanced budget annually.
    • Present the proposed budget to the Local Governing Body for endorsement and contribute to the overarching 3-5-year strategic financial planning process. Work directly with Headteacher, providing day to day PA services for them and working on developments within the key areas of your portfolio.
    • Identify additional finance required to fund the school's proposed activities and maximise income through lettings and other activities.
    • Lead and line manage the academy's Senior Administrator (HR and Admissions) in all matters pertaining to HR.
    • Manage the Facilities Management contract and liaise with all Facilities Management contractors across the site.
    Situated in a fantastic Central London location, conveniently close to transportation links, creates an ideal work environment.

    School Business Manager requirements:
    • Degree level qualification & School Business Manager qualification/Accountancy qualification.
    • Experience in financial management and reporting including budget and management accounts preparation.
    • Strong understanding of effective accounting systems and controls.
    • Able to influence decision making within the school.
    • Willingness to be flexible around working hours to meet the needs of the school.
    • Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
    • Able to deliver value for money initiatives.
