- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with substance abuse disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including detoxification protocols and medication-assisted therapies.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families on addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay abreast of developments in the field of addiction medicine and participate in continuous professional development activities.
- Requirements :
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK.
- Specialist training in addiction medicine or relevant experience in drug rehabilitation.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies, such as the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Practitioners (FDAP) or the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in the assessment and treatment of patients with substance abuse disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
