    Market Analyst Location: Coventry, GB

    We are looking for a Market Analyst to join our team based in Coventry. This role offers a salary of £31,232 - £41,958 along with a market-leading benefits package.

    Market Analyst Here's what you'll be doing

    This is a great opportunity for a motivated analyst to join the Market Analysis team on our busy Trading floor. The Market Analysis team are at the heart of the business, understanding wholesale market dynamics and prices through the production of Price Forward Curves and providing vital market insights to the business for real-time pricing decisions. This role is an exciting opportunity to join this analytical team and provide tangible value to the business.

    If you don't currently have a detailed understanding of commodity markets but are eager to learn and have strong analytical skills, we'd love to talk with you about the role.

    **Key responsibilities include:**

    • Act as a key interface between the business pillars and Energy Markets providing market insights to support decision making
    • Work with the Senior Markets Analyst and Market Analysis Manager to ensure both intraday and End of Day Forward Curves are produced in a timely manner
    • Support the Forward Curve shaping process using analytical techniques and suggest means of improvement
    • Support the building and implementation of fundamental and quantitative models for future changes in the UK energy system
    • Proactively monitor the wholesale energy market and use fundamental analysis for trading decisions
    • Collaborate with other teams on specific market-focused topics to deepen understanding of market drivers
    • Undertake regular analysis to support market analysis outlooks and communicate this to internal stakeholders

    **What we need from you:**

    • BSc or MSC level qualification or equivalent experience in computer science, maths, physics, or similar
    • Experience in a programming language (Matlab, Python, or similar)
    • Hands-on approach, flexible, and positive attitude
    • Attention to detail and strong focus on accuracy of information
    • Effective communication verbally and in written form
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to successfully multitask
    • Knowledge of the GB Energy Market is desirable
